GladeCore Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of GladeCore, a software product provided by Glade Tool Inc. (doing business as Glade Studio) (“Glade,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). GladeCore is a lightweight, on-device large language model (“LLM”) designed for integration into games and interactive applications.

By installing, accessing, or using GladeCore (the “Software”), you agree to these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use GladeCore.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use GladeCore. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. If you use GladeCore on behalf of an entity, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Access and Use

Local Execution:

GladeCore is designed to run entirely on-device, with no cloud dependency. Any data processed by the model remains local to your system unless you explicitly connect third-party integrations (e.g., optional TTS providers).

License:

Subject to these Terms, Glade grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use GladeCore for development and integration into your games or applications.

Restrictions:

You may not (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software; (b) resell or redistribute GladeCore as a standalone product; or (c) use the Software in violation of applicable laws.

3. Ownership of Content

Developer Content:

You retain ownership of all inputs you provide to GladeCore (“Developer Content”) and all outputs generated by the Software (“Generated Content”).

No Data Collection:

Unlike cloud-based services, Glade does not collect, transmit, or store Developer Content or Generated Content by default. You are solely responsible for storing, securing, and managing your own data.

Third-Party Services:

If you enable optional integrations (e.g., ElevenLabs for TTS), your data may be processed by those providers subject to their terms and privacy policies.

4. Intellectual Property

Glade owns all rights, title, and interest in and to GladeCore, including underlying software, models, and documentation. Except for the license granted in Section 2, no other rights are granted.

5. Payments

If you purchase a license or subscription to GladeCore:

  • Fees are payable as listed at our pricing page.
  • All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use GladeCore to:

  • Generate or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing.
  • Incorporate the Software into products intended for surveillance, discrimination, harassment, or exploitation.
  • Circumvent security, licensing, or technical restrictions.

7. Feedback

If you provide suggestions or feedback regarding GladeCore, you grant Glade a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use such feedback for improving our products and services.

8. Third-Party Content

GladeCore may interoperate with or link to third-party tools or services (such as game engines or TTS providers). Glade is not responsible for such third-party products or their terms of use.

9. Confidentiality

If, in the course of using GladeCore, you gain access to non-public information from Glade, you agree to keep such information confidential and use it only as permitted by these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

GladeCore is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glade disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee error-free operation, compatibility, or that outputs will meet your expectations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Glade is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data.
  • Our total liability for claims under these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (i) $50 USD or (ii) the amount you paid to Glade for GladeCore in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Glade harmless from claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of GladeCore, your Developer Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of GladeCore and delete all copies in your possession.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco County, California, under JAMS rules. You waive the right to participate in class actions or jury trials.

15. General

  • These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Glade regarding GladeCore.
  • If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.
  • You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.
  • Notices to Glade may be sent to glade@gladestudio.ai.
